Favorites :: My Business Toolkit

Here are some my favorite tools that I choose to use to help your business shine.

WordPress :: WordPress is a web software that is used to power your website. It’s also perfect for blogging {which means updated and fresh content – which is something that search engines like}. WordPress allows the use of plug-ins to help create sites that offer up ways for potential clients to sign up for your newsletters, view your blog posts, and much more.

Pricing…It’s FREE!!!

HostGator :: HostGator is a hosting company that you need in order to have your site up and running. They provide web servers that hold the information for your site. It ensures that your website is accessible at all times and backups of your site’s current info is kept on file. I have had clients work with a couple of different hosting companies, but HostGator’s been the best so far. They offer unlimited domains {in case you feel like having 10 different sites}, unlimited disk space {you know, for the 10 different sites of yours}, and unlimited email accounts {you wanna be fancy and have a custom email address to match your site, right?}.

Pricing starts at around $6.00/month.

GoDaddy :: GoDaddy is where you register your domain. Once you’ve decided on what your site address/URL will be, you go and check to make sure it’s available and purchase it. It’s all yours!

Genesis by StudioPress :: Genesis is a fabulous Framework that is like a base theme for WordPress. There are many benefits to going with this company, for example, the code and design is search optimized {making it clearer for search engines to see your content}, they have excellent support, and have beautiful child themes that I love to use! Their premium themes make for attractive and more unique sites that can be customized to suit your liking. These themes allow me to build your website quickly without you having to spend lots of extra time and money creating custom code {which leads to higher costs when you may need to make future changes}.

Pricing starts at just $24.95 for the child themes. I will give you the Genesis Framework free {just because I like you!}.

Squarespace :: Recently I had the honor of working with a new client who really wanted to go with Squarespace. I was honest and told her that I had never worked with Squarespace before but was more than happy to dive in. Boy, am I glad that I did! They offer amazing templates/themes that are beautiful and their plans include hosting and domain names.

They offer up a 14 day free trial (and you don’t even need to enter your credit card info!

AWeber :: This preferred email marketing tool is your way to reach your people. It allows you to schedule delivery days and times, gives you data so that you can see what works for you {who is opening your newsletter?, what links do they click on?}. You can create different lists to keep all of your contacts organized. It also abides by the US Anti-Spam laws with opt-in emails. It is said to have top deliverability rates {making sure people see your email}

Pricing is just $1 for the first month and then $19 per month for up to 500 subscribers.

MailChimp :: This email marketing tool is a fun, hip way to reach your people. I can’t lie – I love the way the little monkey looks and how their Dashboard is laid out. I’m a visual person so I am very drawn to the navigation of this program. They also offer easily customizable template.

Pricing is free if you have fewer than 2,000 subscribers. Check out the site for exact details, though.

Satori :: Your scheduling Powerhouse! This software was created and tailored for coaches. Within Satori not only can you keep your schedule in order {it can even hook up to and sync with Google Calendar and iCal} and allow clients {and all of those potential clients} to book sessions with you, but they can answer pre-work questions, send you $$, and more. I LOVE this program!

You can sign up for a 30 day free trial! Then starts at just $15.00/month.
